New Mexico Press Women Holding 2016 State Conference in Albuquerque
New Mexico Press Women will hold their 2016 state conference at the Bosque Retreat Center in Albuquerque on April 22-23. The conference theme is “Shaping the Future of New Mexico: Our role and citizens and journalists.” The speakers and panelists will explore what’s not being discussed in the public conversation or mainstream media about important issues.

Fiction book entries sought for women’s book contest
Fiction book entries sought for women’s book contest! An outstanding New Mexican writer will be honored for her work in fiction next spring when her book receives the prestigious Zia Award given by New Mexico Press Women.
New Mexico women writers are invited to submit their fiction books for consideration of the award, given each year at the annual New Mexico Press Women spring conference luncheon. The 2016 conference luncheon will be held April 23, 2016 at Bosque Retreat Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Finalists are required to attend the award luncheon to read from their work.

2015 Zia Book Award winners announced
Four New Mexican women were honored for their outstanding non-fiction books at the New Mexico Press Women annual spring conference, held this year at the Ghost Ranch Conference Center where the theme was “The Power of Storytelling.”
