> If you have registered by the deadline, you will receive an email on Saturday, February 26, asking for your meal choices. Please respond promptly.
> Remember that attendees will be required to show COVID vaccination records or a negative COVID test within the past 3 days.

Thank you to those who participated in our survey about the Farmington Conference. The Board of Directors met on Friday and discussed your survey input, the current declining Covid numbers, and the unpredictability of the situation in a few months or next year. After a rigorous discussion, the Board voted unanimously to move forward with the Farmington Conference, with the caveat that registration for the full conference will now be limited to 30 people to facilitate social distancing. Once that number of 30 is reached, we will maintain a waiting list in case there are any cancellations. We will accept up to 10 guest registrations for the lunch and dinner events. We apologize in advance should this conference sell out. Additionally, if you register immediately, you may claim one of the remaining four (4) slots for the Acoma Wellness Court tour on Thursday, March 10th. There is still time to enter the National Federation of Press Women’s New Mexico Communications Contest. Enter by noon Feb. 2 for all book entries and noon Feb. 9 for all other entries. There is a one-time late fee of $25 but this is a small price to pay for the chance to have your work recognized on a national level.
This is a two-tier contest with the first tier at the state level. Entrants do not have to members of the local chapter to enter but there are many benefits to joining. If an entry is moved on to the national level then the entrant must be a member of the National Federation of Press Women. Entrants can join after they learn the status of the state level.
The contest is open to anyone regardless of sex or professional status. College students may enter under the collegiate division.
All work must have been published or broadcast between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. There are 12 divisions with 61 categories covering all types of media and communications.
