Join Us in Southern New Mexico for Our First Communicator’s Salon on September 20 at 3 pm in Las Cruces.
Pablo Picasso’s work was exhibited in various art galleries throughout Paris, notably the informal salon hosted by Gertrude Stein in Paris. Salon’s continue to be comfortable settings where artists display and discuss art, and other contemporary topics of interest.
Similarly in Latina/o culture, a Tardeada is an informal and lively cultural and social afternoon gathering with discussion, food, and music.
New Mexico Press Women is hosting its first Communicator’s Salon in Las Cruces, as we look toward expanding our southern New Mexico membership. The salon will be followed by an optional dinner. Locations to be announced.
We will have readings by various authors and enjoy a lively discussion of themes and current issues.
Our hostess is Denise Chávez, Las Cruces author, and NMPW Member at Large. Be assured of southern New Mexico hospitality with abundant delicious green chile.
