Membership
You can join just the state organization or both the national and state organizations (NFPW/NMPW). When you join both NFPW and NMPW, you have the opportunity to network on a national level and contest winners of our NMPW communications contest can enter the NFPW contest at a discounted fee.
Membership in NFPW and NMPW is a solid investment in your career, providing opportunities to develop your professional skills, receive recognition for your work, network with peers, protect the First Amendment, and nurture the next generation of communicators.
When you join NFPW, you must also join the state affiliate. Retired membership is available only to previous NFPW members. See details about national membership at the national organization’s webpage. Note: NMPW does not require work samples to be submitted with the application.
If you join between September and December, NMPW dues paid will cover the following year.
NFPW/NMPW Membership
- Professional: $104
- Retired: $50
- Student: $35
NMPW Membership Only:
- Professional or Retired: $20
- Student: $10
New Mexico has three local Press Women chapters, located in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Las Cruces. Each of these chapters have their own regular activities and membership fees.
Refund Policy
New Mexico Press Women does not issue refunds except in the case of overpayment. For example, if you pay dues directly to NMPW and then pay dues online to NFPW (which will include NMPW dues), we will refund your initial dues payment.
