The Jacob von Kutzleben Memorial Scholarship Writing Contest 

Jacob von Kutzleban enjoyed writing science fiction and urban fantasy short stories. His homework always took precedence, but whenever he had free time, he wrote.  He had plans for a series of urban fantasy books featuring a werewolf protagonist. Just as the scholarship is keeping Jacob’s dream alive, his passion will live on through this contest.

Open Prompt! Submit your best Flash Fiction story, between 200 and 750 words, in any genre.  The title is not included in your word count. MS Word will be used to verify the word count and it must be written in English. Anyone in the US can enter. The winner will receive $100, second place $50, and third place will win $20.

Your entry fee will help support the Jacob von Kutzleben Memorial Scholarship. Ten finalists will be notified no later than November 20, 2016. The winners will be notified on or before December 5, 2016.The three winning stories will be published by December 15. The remaining seven finalists’ names and story titles will also be listed. Winners will have the option of receiving their prize via Paypal or money order.
ENTRY FEE: $10   A Paypal account is not needed to enter.
The contest will close when 150 eligible entries are received. The link to Paypal will be removed when we have reached the limit. Please read the rules before sending your story.
