Attention aspiring high school communicators

The High School Communications Contest honors excellence in student journalism. High schools across New Mexico may enter this contest that features 20 categories for student work.

Entries awarded first place will be submitted to the National Federation of Press Women contest. NMPW will pay the fee for those entries and will submit them for judging. The contest is endorsed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Dow Jones announces first-place winners and promotes the competition in its publication distributed to journalism advisers across the nation, giving students and their teachers/advisers local and nationwide recognition.

Any high school student in New Mexico may enter work printed or broadcast between March 1, 2013 and February 28, 2014. Entry fees are $3 for each item.

Please include the following information along with your check: Name of the high school, name of the newspaper sponsor, and contact e-mail address and phone number. Entry fees are $3 for each item. Please make checks out to New Mexico Press Women.
